Last night was a sad night as the last episode of The Most Amazing Show aired on SABC2. Iaminawe created a series of animated spots and transitions for the show and were stoked to be working with talented animator Mike Scott whose twisted humour and chewed through t-shirts added an awesome dimension to the show.
Big ups to Corne and Twakkie and their unique style making South Africa laugh at itself… check out a refreshed www.tmas.co.za site as it has just had a whole bunch of cool stuff added to it including a new shop, galleries, chat and ticket booking system. Also look out for the new shirts and posters and press packs designed by iaminawe… fun.

Motion graphic madness has been in the air with an hour long set by VJ Skabenga mixing original 2D and 3D animation with performance footage, created for Goldfish and released with their new album. This is an exerpt from one song called “Mbira Beat”.
Iaminawe also created the
super cool packaging and promotional material for the album.

Iaminawe created 5 minutes of rippling flowing motion graphics which were projected over the Jazzart Dance Company for the finale of this excellent dance production at Artscape. The show featured Sibongile Khumalo and Neo Muyanga and was one of our most successful projections to date with the music, dancers and animated projection really melting together into an awesome experience.

Iaminawe created over an hours worth of motion graphics for this ambitious musical theatre production created for Theatre on the Bay and performed at Montecasino in Johannesburg. The animations were projected on a huge screen which interacted with the host and singing talent, Andre Schwartz. The whole motion design also encompassed an animated website based on Andre and entering into the different segments of the show as different parts of the website. The website also came with animated crashes, viruses, porn popups and sending and receiving e-mail. This job was definitely a lot of work… a whole lot
Iaminawe also mastered the backing tracks and animation into a full show dDVD including 5.1 surround sound and even a click track for a live pianist to follow.
Unfortunately the animation posted here doesnt have sound to it… sorry.

David Kramer is a legendary South African songwriter, playwright and director.
He originally portrayed himself as a rural everyman who travelled the dusty roads of small town South Africa with an old bicycle and a cheap guitar and is also famous for his red veldskoens and numerous “Volksiebus” adverts.
iaminawe created the video by filming David in a green screen studio and then compositing him (using After Effects) into a digitally constructed cardboard karoo that slowly floods with water.
If you like this video please rate it on youtube so that it will be seen by more people… thanks.
The “Onnerwater” video was recently placed as a finalist in the Motion Graphics category at the Construction New Media Awards.
Iaminawe were awarded with a nice shiny certificate from the cool people at Interactive Africa
The CNMA aims to celebrate and elevate the status of new media design by honouring and accrediting those designers, writers, programmers and thinkers who produce challenging, imaginative interactive work, both on a creative and a functional platform.
