This is the first series of motion graphics experiments in the “chaos in motion” series. The microsite above links to the 3 full 1 minute videos and the animation below is a best of selection. This was a really interesting set of experiments that utilised 3D test renders from Max, scanned and treated paraphenalia collected on our travels, particle systems in after effects, flat 2D animation in flash and liberal use of the VJ program Resolume to mix it all up.

This was iaminawes first theatre animation and it was 10 minutes worth of painter/flash/after effects animation that received great feedback from press and audiences. It was a crazy ride of learning after effects and developing an animation workflow with painter. It turns out to be one of our favourite pieces of work and we are still really proud of it.

Iaminawe has just launched a microsite showcasing the animation and identity work created for the recent production of “New Day” performed at Artscape. The production was celebrating 10 years of democracy in South Africa.
Lots of rainbow nation animation… yeehaa

This 12 minute animation was created as a backdrop for a childrens musical theatre piece.
The project had a 3 week turn around and was projected at 5m by 8m behind actors providing the live action.
iaminawe also designed the cut out props that were used on stage during the production.

On the super-commercial side we announce the launch of the http://www.lawactive.co.za/ site created for Lawyers Access Web. The site is a clean corporate example of what iaminawe can do if you tell us to put our paintbrushes away for a while. We take no responsibility for blinking red links on the homepage. It just wasn’t us OK. The site that we designed for L@W is no longer live so links to it have been removed.
